March has been very chilly indeed and unfortunately our visit to Longfield Academy was cancelled as most schools in Kent were closed for nearly a week. However, we have managed to get out and about to Millbrook garden centre for coffee and cake and to Knit & Knatter just over the road from us.
We have started a morning walking club, where some residents like to walk to the local Post Office to purchase their daily newspaper.
Another exciting new event was a visit from Dimples Children's Nursery, where 6 delightful children aged 3-4 years came into the home to play games, sing and dance and play musical instruments for us. Everyones face lit up when they came in. We will now be holding this event every month - one not to be missed!! See our photo / video gallery for some lovely photos.
We have been making Easter decorations for our tree and some little treat boxes - just waiting for the Easter Bunny to fill them with chocolate eggs now. We will be holding an Easter Egg Raffle over the Easter Weekend. Fingers crossed.....
Six residents went to a Luncheon Club at the Church Hall, where we ate a beautifully prepared 3 course lunch. The Club were celebrating their 10th anniversary and had a whopping 53 mouths to feed.
Still to come is our Dog Show at the end of the month.
