Christmas is nearly here and we are all getting into the festive spirit. We’ve been decorating our tree and preparing for the big day.

Our yearly Christmas Party is being held on Saturday 16th December where we will all enjoy mulled wine and mince pies with our loved ones whilst listening to music and having a dance.

We were entertained by our local Beaver Group in our lounge area where they sang carols to us. Take a look at the video to share the great time we had.

We went to a fantastic Christmas Party at our usual tuesday club in New Ash Green and were spoilt with music, sandwiches, cakes and drinks. Everyone had a lovely time.

Residents have been writing Christmas cards and some have even made their own.

We are going to nip out to Bluewater to see their gorgeous Reindeer lights outside and the lovely decorations around the Mall. Of course, we will stop off at John Lewis for a cake and cuppa.

November 2023

November is getting off to a winning start. We hosted our new monthly quiz afternoon with another local home and we grabbed the Trophy back - winning by 3 points. We all had a lovely afternoon with a bit of healthy competition over coffee and cakes.

Following on with the healthy competition - some of us popped out to our local Bowling Alley for a game of tenpin bowling. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It brought back a lot of memories and tested everyone’s skills. Some very impressive shots I must admit. This is something we will certainly continue. See the photos and videos of the event.

We’ve already had a few Christmas invites, one to the Longfield Academy where we are spoilt with cakes, drinks, quizzes and singing with staff and children.

We have a small group of local Beavers visiting us early December to sing to us and have a little cake or 2.

Our usual Tuesday Club have also invited us to their Xmas party, which is always fun. Who doesn’t like getting dressed up, singing and dancing and of course eating sandwiches and cakes!!

Happy Halloween everyone.

We’ve been busy making decorations for our little tree which is in the reception area with scary spiders and pumpkins and are all hoping for a treat or two.

We have joined up with a nearby Care Home - The Hollies to hold a monthly quiz. We will take it in turns to hold the event. The first event was held at The Hollies, who won this months quiz. We have a trophy for the winning Home. Better luck next time Fairby - we will be on home ground for the next quiz, so watch out The Hollies.

During our regular Tuesday club visits, Winnie was given the microphone and sang to the hall. Well done Winnie. We have been invited to their Breast Cancer Charity morning where there will be singing and dancing along with teas and cakes.

One of our residents help our Vicar conduct the church service which is held every 2 weeks. Theresa stood up in the lounge and said some prayers to everyone. Thank you Theresa!!

We have some interesting events planned for November, including a Zoolab visit and even a Bowling afternoon at The Rochester Bowling Alley. This should be great fun. Look out for photos next month.
