August / September 2023

We have been out and about this summer enjoying the weather at Gravesend Promenade and Camer park for an ice cream.

Our plant tub in the back garden has come on leaps and bounds with all our nurturing and watering. It’s lovely to sit and enjoy the garden, looking at our beautiful fish with friends and relatives.

We have had a few birthdays over the summer and had singers in to entertain us.

Our yearly outing on the Kingfisher Boat took place in August and residents loved sailing up and down the Medway. Debbie was our Skipper for the day and one of our gentlemen residents even helped crew with the locks and steering the boat. We’ve already booked our 2 trips for next year.

July 2023

Our Summer Fete was fantastic. We raised just over £970 during the day. Our plans changed slightly due to the windy weather, but that didn’t stop us.

See the photos of the unicorn pony coming into the home. He strolled into the home and through to the lounge to greet everyone.

Elvis joined us too - we all love a good sing along to Elvis - he even sang Happy Birthday to Debbie, which was lovely as everyone joined in.

We have put more fish into our lovely wall pond in the rear garden. They are so pretty - we love to sit and watch them swimming around.

June 2023

Now the sun is out - so are we, sitting in the garden, watching the fish and taking part in activities.

We popped down to our local garden centre to buy some plants and herbs for our planter. Chef is really pleased with the amount of herbs - they can’t cook enough to use them all.

We’ve celebrated lots of Birthdays this month, please see our gallery page for lovely photos.

We’ve been out to John Lewis in Bluewater for our usual coffee and cake expedition. We get treated like royalty there - lovely!!

We’ve made and decorated flags for Pride Month and will be decorating the home with all our bits and bobs.

Rossi the greyhound came to visit us and joined us outside for some fresh air. He is so lovely - we all love stroking him. I think he enjoys it too!!

We have had some upgrades carried out at Fairby recently, including new fencing, new sheds and new Amtico flooring to the downstairs corridors, still all in keeping with Fairby’s beautiful ‘oldie worldie’ feel.

Our Summer fete is due to be held on Saturday 15th July 2-5pm with Elvis performing at 3pm and Henry the Pony with us between 2pm -3pm. We are arranging various stalls including, Tombola, Raffle, Guess the weight of the cake, Guess the name of the unicorn and Moomin, cake and coffees and of course our fabulous BBQ which is always a huge hit on the day.
