Now the weather is improving we are getting out and about more and visiting Gravesend Promenade for an ice cream. So lovely to sit out in the fresh air and watch the world go by.
We visit our local Village Hall in New Ash Green every Tuesday to enjoy being with others, having a sing a long and chat. Last week they had Elvis in the house. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable time singing along to some of his famous hits.
We have a boat trip booked on the 20th May where we will be sailing along the River Medway for the morning. Debbie has joined the Crew on the Kingfisher Boat and is training to be a Skipper. We will see Debbie down there.
We will sail up to Tea Pot Island in Yalding and stop for lunch. We also have a session booked in August.
We are looking to start up our Monthly Childrens Nursery visit too. We are in the process of arranging dates and permissions so the children can come one morning a month to Fairby to play and interact with us in the lounge. We loved these visits before COVID lockdown and are looking forward to seeing the children very soon.
Nicki and Kyveli took some residents out to John Lewis in Bluewater for a late afternoon coffee and cake. John Lewis helped us find a lovely seat by the window and even paid for our coffee and cakes. We were all overwhelmed by their kindness and generosity. Our resident artist, Audrey has painted them a lovely thank you card which was hand delivered to show our gratitude.
